There are many activities and events at our community museums during the weekends and holidays, all of which are free unless stated otherwise, please see below for more details.

11.30am – 4pm In The Picture - an exhibition by Handsworth Photographic Society. Free.
   
Friday 1st August
1pm – 3.30pm Family Fun Fridays: Hairy caterpillars. A different drop-in family craft activity every Friday throughout the summer holidays. Free.
 
Friday 8th August
1pm – 3.30pm Family Fun Fridays: Clay leaf prints. A different drop-in family craft activity every Friday throughout the summer holidays. Free.
1pm – 3.30pm Family Tree Detectives Day. Create your own family tree with Paul Wilkins and learn how to find out more. Free.
   
Saturday 9th August - Sunday 2nd November
11.30am – 4pm Handsworth Revelations - alocal community exhibition created by young people funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. See the results of their work with Vanley Burke, Milton Godfey and Birmingham City Archives. Free.

1pm – 3.30pm Family Fun Fridays: Sun print pictures. A different drop-in family craft activity every Friday throughout the summer holidays. Free.

1pm – 3.30pm Family Fun Fridays: Paper plate flower craft. A different drop-in family craft activity every Friday throughout the summer holidays. Free.
   
Monday 25th August
11.30am – 4pm Bank Holiday Bhangra Bonanza. Dohl Blasters drumming and dancing. Mendhi henna workshop. Jewellery making demonstrations with the Asian Women’s Textile Group. See the staff in traditional costume. Traditional costumes for kids to try on. Family craft activity: Rangoli workshop. Free.
