A Road Bridge

This is where the main road
bridge goes over the river.
Hundreds
of years ago, there was only
a ford here for people
and vehicles to cross the river.
In
Victorian times a stone bridge
was built and as the area became
more built up in the 1930s, this
brick and concrete bridge was
built to carry the traffic.
