During visits to the Museum in October and November, Victoria students chose objects from different areas of the collection, including the Ancient World, art, metalwork and social history.
We also found out about the work of the conservation department, from using a vacuum to clean textiles……………..
……………to mixing pigments for restoring a painting.
We were all amazed to find that you could actually wash a picture, but the paper conservator assured us it would be all right!

Mrs York seized the opportunity to examine the quality of the diamonds in her ring!
