In 1654
Sir Thomas Holte died leaving Aston Hall as a bricks and mortar
reminder of his wealth and status.
A full inventory was made of his possessions including
the contents of the house clearly still in a bad way as a result of the Parliamentarian
attack during the Civil War.
More recently this inventory has been interpreted by Pat
Hughes as exploded pictures.
A selection of the inventory,
pictures and present day photographs (of Jacobean rooms
currently open to view) are blended together to bring you a close encounter of an
interactive kind!
