I had to go back 600 years to a country called Russia to get this. The people seemed to be using these to exchange for goods. They were very suspicious of me taking a picture of it. |

It's a thing called a coin. The Earth people use them to buy things in shops and markets. Most of them are made from rare metals like silver and gold. They have special designs on them to prevent dishonest Earthlings from clipping bits off and making their own coins at home. |
