Plaster was moulded or shaped
to make the designs for the ceiling.
- Plaster was dug out of the ground.
The best plaster comes from near Paris - it is called plaster of
Paris.
- The white powder was mixed with
horse hair and water. The horse hair made it strong.
- It was poured into wooden
or metal moulds or shapes.
- When the plaster had gone hard it
was turned out.
- The patterns were stuck to the
ceiling with more wet plaster.
