| When the house was built all of the ground floor had close upright timber framing. Now, to the right and far left of the Hall, a brick covering has been added and then whitewashed over. The patterns that remain show: close studding, on the ground floor; herring bone on the first floor; and quadrant bracing on the second floor. |
